This book, devoted to the Italian master Andrea del Verrocchio (1435/36–1488) and two of his pupils, Francesco di Simone Ferrucci (ca. 1437–1493) and Lorenzo di Credi (ca. 1459–1537), pays tribute to one of the most prestigious art workshops in Florence during the second half of the fifteenth century. It was here, in this crucible of talents that Leonardo da Vinci, Sandro Botticelli, Pietro Perugino and Domenico Ghirlandaio began their training.
